Days of wonder

Isaiah 55:8

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.

Proverbs 16:3

Commit your works to the Lord,
And your thoughts will be established.

Days of wonder ... sometimes doubt

Memories pass by into the vagueness of the past

Little I remember ... it seems in another life

Just when I observe the pictures that won’t last

Youth was a dimension that seems not part of me

Like someone else walked a mile in my socks

Strangely with my name attached to some thought

Is part of our life somehow although partially blocked?

Not a face I met yesterday ... do I remember?

It seems that everyone and all live in my neighborhood

A pocket full of nothingness and a bag filled with worries

Will everyone be pleased ... what about my brotherhood?

It’s still early in the morning ... everyone still sleeping

When the day awakens I’ll play everything by ear

All will be alright ... it seems that the past is forgotten

Replaced by a form of realism delivering from fear

I guess the first cup of coffee and the release of thought

It gets the day started off and moves it into my senses

A day, a week, a month, a year replace here the moment

Until I discover limitations sealed in by self-made fences
