Daydreams

Psalm 2:1-3

The Messiah’s Triumph and Kingdom

Why do the nations rage,
And the people plot a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the rulers take counsel together,
Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,
3 “Let us break Their bonds in pieces
And cast away Their cords from us.”

Daydreams in the morning . . . the sun crawling out of bed

Light is already here but the sun still out of sight

What will this day bring . . . maybe a repeat of yesterday?

Or a wait for tomorrow like then all will be right

Secular perfection on display with cracks and flaws in place

Not enough pain in this world to cover all iniquity

Humanity in chorus seems completely loosing face

When it comes to righteous living in its own perplexities

As the years count down who understands this desperation?

The grieving and the pawns and the kings of segregation

Moving blindfolded hand in hand from early light till dawn

Long live all uncertainty in the scattered fallen nations
