The Day You Call Sunny
Sorry
I can't care about things like money
When I'm dripping wet on a day you're calling sunny
I'm tired and I just woke up
Isn't it time that you all woke up!
Someone that mattered died when they spoke up
I absolutely refuse to get my hopes up
It's no wonder deep thinkers always dope up
Getting high to get by
Drowning in the depths of shallow lies
That you seem to swallow like blueberry pie
As peacemakers blue in their graves lie
And no I don't want to die but no I'm not alive
And yes I want to thrive, how the hell can I survive
On the few drops of generousity the animosity alloted me
And now I see I cannot be the fool you've educated me to be
A man once said, poets are the only ones that know the truth about us
And we're labelled as complainers, you will not lend an ear to us
Well you just keep chasing the money
While I walk under my umbrella on this day you call sunny
