Dawn

Good morning sunshine!

It is still dark as I look out over the inky black water filling the bay.  Having just traveled 92.96 million miles to reach me, most of your light warms a world I cannot see.  But a few beams travel just a few more miles to peek at me around the horizon, reflecting in the clouds.  I am ready for you to rise.  I am ready for dawn.

Today is the first day of the rest of our lives.  What are we going to do with it?
