Dawn

Once there was a princess,

Born upon a moonlit night.

Her destiny was to be beautiful,

and to fall in love with a dashing knight.

Her name signified the dawn,

And that’s what she wanted to be.

She wasn’t happy being gentle,

As helpless as a newborn fawn.

But the king and queen did not listen,

And trouble struck still.

The fairy’s curse was still placed,

And the Princess fit the bill.

But, the princess was smart,

And never really like sewing.

So she avoided spinning wheels at all costs,

She knew exactly what she was doing.

When the princess was grown,

A prince was sent to save her.

But the prince was a moron,

and the evil fairy struck him down.

When the princess heard the news,

She knew what she had to do.

She would find the fairy herself,

And with a sword bid her adieu.

The princess searched far and wide,

Searching for the fairy that cursed her.

The fairy could run, but not truly hide,

As the Princess would eventually find her.

The battle was a bloody mess,

And the fairy tried all her tricks (even a dragon!)

But the princess defeated her anyways,

And better yet – she did it in a dress.

Once there was a princess,

Who rose to much acclaim.

She dreamed of being the dawn,

And so a new dawn she became.
