In the dark I was lost.

In the dark who was I?

Hollow like an open shell.

Needy for a soul to cling to.

Then you whispered softly,

"I am who you seek."

Hands stretched wide you craddled me.

"What took you so long?" you said.

"I was searching for your light" I relplied.

You've watched me this year so you must know,

I have passed you many times.

Confident I could find my own way out,

But friends aren't forever.

Only you are true.

Only you are forever.

With your light I can finally see.

For by my side you will help me find me.
