The Darkness Dies

I prayed that I was dreaming

When I saw that big wave

The water was not normal

But as dark as a cave

It was full of weird greens and reds and blacks

It kept rolling forward

As I hoped it stayed back

I started to run

Until my chest burned

I wanted to be brave

So around I turned

I started to recite the 23rd psalm

And I started to notice light from my palm

All the dark clouds left

And that wave failed to exist

When I thought I was close to death

The sight of the light gave me great bliss

When I started to awake

I thanked and praised the Lord up above

And even though it all was fake;

 I felt so loved
