Darkness

Sun, 03/06/2016 - 00:27 -- Yakeen

Darkness

Is when all your senses

Are barred behind a high stone-walled mentality

Darkness

Is when your conscience

Is unaware of reality

Darkness

Is when you submit with no question

When you’re blind to the aggression

Pleased with the suppression

Darkness…

Darkness

Is when you hand your own hands to be cuffed

Your spirit to be crushed

Your brain to be washed

And you think it is just…

Darkness

Is when you dim the lights of your existence

With ignorance and arrogance

With an illusion of the truth

And constant delusions of non-perishing youth

Darkness

Is when you allow every drop of sand

To pass the hourglass

While you suffocate in poison gas

Darkness

Is not the absence of light

But the absence of thought and mind
