The Dark of Night

In the dark of night,
The aroma's sweet smell breaks through every window, door and crack.
Love, happiness and joy all seem to be provoked in the still of the silence.

The darkness, is it something to fear, or to caress?
And by caress, to be warm; to begin the start of something new.
The chilling shivers of sweetness run up and down their spines.

The goose bumps forming on the dampened skins.
Beads of sweat rolling down his face onto the silk sheets of life.
Time goes by and the mood never seems to change.

Daylight comes, the smells of the night leave at the crack of dawn.
Awaken by the rays of light, they smile at each other.
Knowing that in time to come, their night spent together will turn into something new.

A new sense of life will be found.
Pride will be discovered.
All because of the darkness in the night.
