dance

leap; slide in the dust of clean floor
slow motion, as a rubber band snap
and sweet focus
in courage; extensions of psyche
undulate motion in air; space of stars
release.
hold tendons together; pull tight
emotions run dry, run you dry
all in face, controlled
sigh; let fall
memory extends past your fingertips
no longer stored; all air
the body is air, and the self illusory
mere present, present tense.
over again
melt; memory becomes muscle
and air
cycle awareness; movement in sensory space
begin to disconnect foot from floor and
return, effecting
floor ripples; sound and space
collide, and my presence skips across the stillness
as a stone, lightly touching
again.
