Daddy's Little Girl?
Location
This poem is a comparison of my biological father, and My “Step-Dad”. The contrast of the two “fathers” has shaped me into the person that I am.
Daddy’s Little Girl?
-Thunder strikes-
I don’t think he ever really cared
I know he tries his best
I cried so much, everyday
He makes my life so great
I tried to escape, he held me back
I am always helped to fly
I grew up too fast; raising the man I called “Dad”
He wants me to grow up slow, like “Daddy’s little girl”
I left the pain; it wasn’t hard
I’m home, welcomed with open arms
I hold no grudge
Because he raised me well
