The Cycle

Location

I picked a flower this morning
After the fallen rain
It made me think of Jesus
And all His suffering and pain

I touched the delicate pedals
Then I began to cry
As they fell slowly to the ground
And then began to die

I turned my eyes to heaven
With tears upon my cheek
And through the clouds came sunshine
Which made me stop and think

Jesus is my savior
And with each new day
I need to stop and thank Him
As I go along my way

For with each fallen pedal
There is also a seed that drops
And tomorrow He will send new beauty
For the cycle that never stops
