The Curtain White

Location

Every day I rise with the sun,

The yellow rays of light

That help me hide my true self

Behind my curtain white.

The smiling faces following me

Only make it worse,

For the more I try to hide myself

The less I can coerce.

I try my best to push through my partition,

But my strength is weakened with time.

The harder I push, the more the resistance

Is within my curtain sublime.

Until one day, I burst forth,

Victorious over my chains.

Never again to go back there,

Never again to my pains.
