The curse of the smile

Mon, 01/19/2015 - 01:28 -- dwebbe

I’ve been texting her back and forth,

First time I met her I was moved by her passion,

I’m thinking about consummating with her out of wed lock,

The thought blocks, my mental processing,

So we meet at the concert that I and her are attending,

I notice her, give her a hug,

Her one arm embrace should have told me that nothing more beyond friendship would happen,

Between us,

But she smiled,

The smile was nice, semi seductive,

She looked beautiful; no compliment from me was spoken,

I wanted to hurry the conversation,

After all she was here for a show with friends,

Asked if she would be at the after party,

She gave a yes,

Yes was great,

Ganja smoke aroma sits in the air of the auditorium,

As the performer blazes the show,

I eventually see her at the after party,

Her eyes do a quick steer as I approach and say hi,

She looks quickly back at her phone as the intense texting continues,

Crushed by this I can’t show it,

So I smile as I tell her I am very observant,

Then I just walk away,
