culture shock
It's all too much,
the billionaire presidents,
the talk-show grifters,
the constant battle for truth,
all too much.
We have chosen the new face
of drone strikes in Yemen,
the new poster boy
of the status quo.
It's all too much,
the burning of stolen sage,
the unarmed black men,
the price of culture,
all too much,
the sacrifice of human life
for an economy that never
cared for life to begin with,
the constantly inflating cost
of bootstraps,
it's all too much.
The decline of an empire,
not with a bang,
but with a tweet.
