Crossing The Oceans To Reach a New World

Because I love you, please don't hurt me

Through my eyes

You are rays of sunshine glisinting

Through my window.

You are my light, my lover

And what holds me tight at night

Because I love you, please

Please

Don't drain my emotions

Or challange my ideas of happiness

Don't twist my idea of an 80's romance novel

Into a strange never ending tsunami

It's strange to think that

Sometimes the ones you love most

Are actuaclly the thick dark poisen in your wine.

I am worthy of respect

I deserve equality

I will no longer degrade myself to your standards

Because you love me

Please

Let me be free

And find a love that livens me.
