Crimson Ash

Do they remember how I tick,

Those hands.

Before rain fell upwards

And tore my cheeks into grey submission.

We are the same now.

I fly with them now.

Find me in the breeze that

Shifts flame to frenzy.

Feel me on your lips in the night

Your heart loses itself to the dark.

Knowing I would fall

They placed a jar beneath my feet

Just so you could swallow me one last time.

Swim towards your heart and

Settle, fill myself to the brim

For those who try,

They will not enter your stone heart.

Each gram of my love

Lines your body in remorse.

I did not want to fly without you.
