A Crime of Love

Shall I compare thee to a can of pepper spray

I think back when I first saw you I was blind

I went to jail and got on my knees and prayed

At that moment I knew I had to express myself in rhyme

My time with you left my eye’s stinging and bleeding

I drop to the ground like an anchor at a dock

An I remember rolling while I was yelling and pleading

The words that came out of mouth were quite a shock

But I know you don’t share the same love for me

So I’m letting you fly far away my dove

Because now I know it was never meant to be

So I’m off to stay in the prison of heartbreak

An my only release will be our first date.
