The Cost of Love

Thu, 08/28/2014 - 23:08 -- lanceww

What is love without a cost?
It doesn't exist; it is a lifetime lost.
To sacrifice for a person loved,
opens a way for a heart to pour.
Venturing beyond the boundaries drawn,
beyond the shadow of dawn.
To see the world from a perspective of two,
The world of one exists no more;
both are lifted off the floor.
To share life with happiness and pain,
 bearing responsibility and blame.
A loveless heart is a lifetime lost;
but that price of Love has been paid on the cross.
