Corona Times
There was once a time in the world
where staying home was cherished,
corruption was shame full,
playing wasn't fun,
health became the greatest wealth.
I watched men an and women weeping
Resting on their hospital beds.
Telling themselves they will continue living
But the truth is, weren't all their loved ones dying?
Churches were praying
and death was calling.
Oh, Lord have mercy on us all,
the white man said.
Nevertheless forgot
he had no sympathy
on the black man
that also begged for mercy.
There was once a time,
were guns were meant to shatter the silence.
Wars to generate rivalry against opposing powers.
It was the end of peace.
But in the end,
all was nothing but a lost soul.
Coronavirus abruptly arose from within and decided the future of the earth.
We made it a deity of death or life.
Its pandemic had spread through all and great nations.
Invaded it's placed amongst humanity,
just Eradicating expectations from the new year
and taking away happiness.
Yes,
I remember those days where months gradually reduced the population of countries.
Nature was at rest at least,
Pollution was forgotten
The streets were quiet.
It was as if the land was infected.
Staying home and being safe were the only remedies.
Nose masks were our make up
Hand sanitizers were our redemption.
And all that mattered was a family and a God
above.
If the Coronavirus becomes history.
And this cure ended our affliction.
Will our world ever be the same?
Or will the end of the world be next?
