Constellations

I fell in love with her on a Monday.

Everything that lead up to it seemed disconnected, but looking back I realize they were disconnected like stars in a constellation; connected because they belong together.

A five-star constellation can consist of three living and two dead. Their light is what connects them, not their being. Her light is what attracted me.

If there ever was a two-star constellation, that's what we would've been. Captivating, illustrious, awe-inspiring. Her bright light and my dying glare.

I fell in love with her on a Monday,
and I was never there.
