I thought I found on solid ground,
yet in my heart I am not sound.
My name entails and tells a tale
Of a sorrowful one, journey without fail.
Deidre - she spoke, upon my birth
But with that name recieved a curse
For with the name also came
A wandering spirit. My mother never the same.
The child grew wild, long locks of gold
Thought like in the movies, she'd never grow old
And when of age, she spread her wings
Danced in the mountains and learned to sing.
Now the path I've chosen, mom
Seems like a curse, but don't get me wrong
Though I wander still, and will till I die
I know for this life, I am meant to fly.
