Comes to mind

Ecclesiastes 2:23

23 For all his days are sorrowful, and his work burdensome;even in the night his heart takes no rest. This also is vanity. Comes to mind

Songs in the night seem different ... maybe more sensible during the day?

Why should you sing after dark ... and give your hiding place away?

Nature says as nature does ... but that does not affect mankind

for man has the opposite impulses ... tugging on his mind.

To change the things it clearly sees ... and mostly when not needed

as it seems good: “Why bother?” ... so warnings are not heeded.

When things are wrong for others ... it really does not mind

as long as it does not affect it ... and puts it in a bind.

It cannot change for better ... and it cannot feel the worse.

It just loves bright and fancy ... that is what brought sin’s curse.
