The Colors of a Rainbow

Sat, 08/01/2015 - 19:22 -- norih

Out of all the colors of the rainbow, what color is the most inspiring?

Could it be red, the color of love, the color that causes the heart to beat,

And a smile to appear on people's faces?

Or could it be orange, the color of a sunset, the color that marks the end of a day,

And the beginning of the night.

Or is it yellow, the happiest color? The color of a fresh, beautiful daisy,

And the color that illuminates anywhere that it is.

Or is it green, the luckiest color? The color that appears every spring,

And says goodbye to winter, and hello to a new life.

Or is it blue, the color that appears in the sky on a clear, cloudless day,

And provides clarity to the mind.

Or is it purple, the royal color, the color that is on the very edge of the rainbow,

And yet, while on the edge, still manages to project itself in the sky.

To me, the prettiest part of a rainbow is not just one single color; it is the rainbow,

Yes, the rainbow in its' entirety.

After all, what could be more beautiful, and awesome, than a rainbow,

Symbolizing hope, on a rainy day with a hint of the sun.
