There was once a time, when whites and blacks couldn't be around each other. There once was a time where black people weren't allowed to b e in the same building as white folk. There once was a time, where people like me, couldn't ride on the bus. There once was a time, where people felt like beating colored folk was a must. There once was a time, where the whites were mean and cruel. There once was a time, where we all bowed down to the white mans rule. There is a time now, where we can all converse, mingle and be free. This wasn't how it always was. But because of MLK and many other equality fighters, them made it all possible. Say it isn 't so, but there is still racism in the air. Hopefully in the generation of our children , all of this hatred will be abolished. But until then, it is our duty as a nation, to treat our brethren equally.
