When I lost my color
You pushed me off the edge of land
And into the sea
Now I swim freely
In the wilderness
Where I wander aimlessly
Until I find my path again
And you won't call out to me
For my return
And I won't look back
into the familiar distance
That was once arms length
For those arms have set me free
Now I set my sights on novelty
The unknown that flows with me
Like ghosts that can touch me
And breathe color back into me
I'll rise again and reach shore
And walk the rest of the way.
