Collegiate Athlete

Glancing at them,

So graceful and high.

I couldn't help myself,

So eager to try.

Here came my opportunity,

Heart racing, hands sweating.

Jumping in, riding all the way,

Only to bail leaving frail.

Returning with determination,

Eager to accomplish the skill.

With fire in my eyes, heart in my soul.

"Ready, 1, 2"

Lifted, jump, ride

"Just chuck it", execute.

Success.

Teammates roaring, coaches jumping

Excitment stormed through my body.

I am one of them, crushing new skills.

I am a collegiate athlete.
