The collector

You have a quicksilver tongue

and a heart of gold;

I've always coveted precious metals.

I'm a hoarder

with the things I can't have

and end up with empty shelves.

Now the prize is in my eye

and I'm left with decisions

and a sifting pan.

Not for the elements,

but for my thoughts.
