Clueless

Clueless

1 Peter 3:3-4

Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— 4 rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.

The hidden person of the heart

why does it sound so secretive?

Do I know this person

do I communicate with him?

Why is he hidden daily

from me and not from others?

Who can see him alive and “well”

as I live in the shadow of His wings.

Incorruptible beauty

and that is part of me?

I don’t even know it

Oh, brother! Ain’t I smart?

God gave me that Spirit

to reach out for perfection

and I don’t even know

for I live my "own" chosen part.
