Cliche Bullshit

I still remember the time you said

"I'll be there for you."

Bullshit

I still remember the time you said

"Just be happy."

Bullshit

I still remember every time you looked into my eyes

And had the audacity to tell me

"I know what you're going through."

Bullshit

Repition does not equal refutation

Your empty words do nothing now

So understand me when I say

I have been through hell

I wear the burns on my arms and legs

They are scars that ignite me over again

The slashes of the flames still burn

But this time they burn as a beacon

To say to every single person

Who has been fed all this cliche trash

The real world is out there

And it's waiting to tear you apart

But I have a secret

I've been waiting to set the world on fire

Since I first learned to strike a match

On the rough parts of my soul

On the scars I still own

And most of all

I know how to feed a fire

So world, I got a message for you

Get ready to burn with passion

I'm done with the empty cliche bullshit
