civil rights

Little T was murdered, beaten with a stone
For whistling at Carolyn, whom he’d hardly known
R.J. killed the boy, and confessed this to his mom
The lovely Mrs. Ippi, who protected him from harm
Her neighbor Mrs. T, knocked on her front door
Demanding that R.J., be justified no more
Mrs. I did not agree, and R.J. walked unharmed
Faulty was her justice, and Mrs. Ippi won
But the sun will shine once more, and the birds will sing again
For a battle cry was heard, by all women and men
Little T was murdered, beaten with a stone
But his death will lead a war, like the world has never known
