Church Girl

I grew up in the church
Lifting his name higher
Prayers, speeches, I even sung in the choir.

I was a church girl
If you did not know
A church girl who's shy and didn't let her attitude
show.

Now I talked and laughed
When I was wasn't supposed to
A church girl who pretended to be innocent
Yet people had no clue.
