Christmas Time

In December I see a Christmas tree in our living room

Decorated with an angel on top of it.

In December I hear a pot of tea going

"Eeek! I'm done!"

it's time to drink it in the

tiny kitchen.

In December I smell hot, juicy,

Ham cooking in the oven,

In December I taste luscious, crunchy,

chewy cookies in the kitchen.

In December I touch the cold ruffled snow,

Cold as a frozen ice cube, I try to touch

the snow flakes before they fall on the ground.

In December I go sledding down the hill

my dogs run as fast as they can to catch up.

December speaks of

the caring that people give,

 so others receive joy,

Because all people should receive joy,

Especially on Christmas
