The Choice was Yours

Fri, 10/28/2016 - 11:16 -- Canon

We all have problems
You, Me
Him, Her
it’s a natural thing,
you're only human

But why’d you choose
-- to take your life

That night --
I still remember,
You cried your eyes out
Then blew you mind out

What you’ve done
has caused pain
among those who loved you

Why didn’t you ask for help?
it’s not like you were deathly ill.
Yes -----,
you were sick
but only in your own mind.
Physically, you were fit as a fiddle,
not at all fat in the middle.

But, your sadness,
Your despair
had induced a hypnotic state
that had blocked your perception
and clouded your mind

But why, ---
why’d you choose
-- to kill you self

Why Death?
it’s such a long term solution
for a short term problem

I want to know
---was your problem solved?

Were you released from your cage?
Is your spirit free
like the verses on this page

If you could still respond,
What would you say?
That death was the only way
And you made the right choice

But, how could you respond?
You have no voice.

It's the price you paid
once you made the choice
no longer
will anyone hear your voice
no longer
will you see this place

Beneath the ground you lay
Was it worth the price you paid?
