The Choice

Thu, 03/29/2018 - 20:51 -- Xero412

Humans are not made without flaws

They are filled with love, faith, and hope

They come with feelings, determination, and selflessness

Humans are not made without flaws

They are filled with hate, mistrust, and despair

They come with stoicness, hesitation, and avarice

With knowledge, humans realize these attributes exist within all-

But the question remains;

Do they follow their programming.

Do they defy their God.

Do they accept their condition.

Do they fight for perfection.

No human is perfect-

Therefore, only acceptance has been accepted

And the status quo continues it's reign

If humans can only accept

Was there any choice to begin with?

As these words fill the screen

And these fingers stop tapping

I realize

Acceptance is not the only choice

But simply a benchmark

To perfection.

Enigmatic Pariah

The game of life: filled with many choices, routes, paths... all under the authority

of the free will of humanity, and its dictates.

I enjoyed your poem, and it's examination of the positives and negatives of

the human condition.
