Childhood rituals.

Telling me how dear I am to your heart.
You sing to me so sweetly.
Calming my fears of the monsters in my room.
Your freshly manicured nails, brushing against my back.
Brushing my hair from my face.
A lullaby was sung.
Amazing grace softly rang through my ears and
Into my childhood memories.
Sleep came so easily.
Due to childhood rituals.

This poem has a perfect touch of nostalgia. Many of uswish that we could all go back if only for a moment to a simpler time during which we felt safe.
