Child Of The King

Who am I without a filter?

Who am I without the sparkles and glitter?

I am the Lord's master piece for the world to see

fearfully and wonderfully made, yep that's me.

What does my true reflection show?

A girl with imperfections that just won't go?

No I'm the apple of his eye

his treasured possession

for his word cannot lie.

Who am I when the cameras fade?

He is the potter and I am his clay

He has blessed me with things you cannot see

things you cannot capture with a selfie.

The one that made the stars in the galaxy

the one who calmed the raging sea

he is the one who breathed breath in me.

Maybe if I tilt my head a certain way

or get my crazy hair to lay

maybe "beautiful" others will say.

What will the world see?

What will the world believe

of the most authentic me?

Hopefully they will see him

as my shepherd and I his sheep.

Who am I without a filter?

Who am I without the sparkles and glitter?

My originalness will continue to sing

because I'm the child of the KING!
