Child

fall into waking sleep and close your eyes, child

believe in  the minds beautiful and innocent lies, child

the day will come when age overcomes it all,

when the veil is dropped and youth dies, child.

You will forget the way to believe in the world

regardless of the most valiant of tries, child.

Enjoy the world’s every imperfect moment,

because it will end, time flies, child.

Maturity is a trivial and cruel self-loathing joke

don’t work toward the thing that is your demise, child

Time is fleeting Randi,  no moment can be re-lived,

enjoy every second while you are still pint-sized, child.
