As a kid I would say,
you just don’t understand,
my father and mother would say
we are older than you,
we have already gone through
what you have and more.

If this is true shouldn’t they grasp
that I understand their
experiences and more,
because I am living by them,
my generation adapts to what
their generation became numb to,
only mine becomes worse,
kids say you just don’t understand.

Stop living by the flaws of your generation,
fix what you’ve made numb,
stop numbing every bad situation because,
it makes it worse for the next generation,
go ahead blame the gun,
but that is not what will pull the trigger.
