Cement Shoes

Thu, 11/08/2018 - 04:43 -- oilimer

These shoes are made out of cement.

I didn't know what that meant.

These shoes are heavy but hard to see.

They may never let you free.

Many people own a pair.

It is not a choice, it’s not fair.

No matter how much some try.

Some can't take them off so they cry.

Why do I have cement shoes?

They always give me the blues.

It’s that border that’s out of order.

It makes me fear every tape recorder.

If I go back, they will fall off.

But so will I, a costly payoff.
