Captive

Romans 12:1-2    English Standard Version

A Living Sacrifice 12 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Captive

Satan holds man’s mind in complete blindness

He cannot see the light of the Gospel at all

The mind becomes hard in its imaginations

A typical state of mind engrained after the “Fall.”

The mind has its desires, and its wants, and wishes

It throws a curve in the level of understanding

It is not a computer that analyzes the near-misses

But I know it has a specific power in its demanding
