Candles Become Pools

You cast your light like candles in the darkness,

You love like a flame,

Darkness cannot conquer you,

No shadow can overcome you lighten rays.

You insert your ignited incandescence into my icy heart,

The flare melts the frame,

My fogged polar glass left as a pool,

You stoll over the fractured waves.

Without you, my pool is a maiden voyage with a puncture in the hual,

The ocean floor lays claim,

You are my refuge in the storm,

Gusts would capsize me if I should stray.

My candle in the twilight,

My thaw to the ice,

My ocean hidden in a pool,

Oh lord, you do not cast me away.
