Burnt Chocolate

My beer

burnt chocolate and foam

sloshed upon the tumbler

Light splashing through

the crystal

dusk past, lights dimmed

your arms around me

Your hands

burnt chocolate and kindness

laced through your fingers

Warmth coursing through

the air

cold finally past

the fire crackling

Our flames

burnt chocolate and love

electrified within our boes

Twined together on

the couch

holding each other through

simple, bittersweet confessions
