The Burden of Middle

Location

Expectations pose one of the greatest threats to human beings,

middle children being some of the key victims.

With the first and the new, what room is there for the middle?

What role must we play?

To work hard?

To be funny?

To find a cure for the next uncurable disease?

What is it that we must do for recognition to be gained?

Expectations tower above us.

Expectations crush us.

Expectations make our feats seem small.

However,

these same expectations double as an aid.

An aid to greatness.

An aid to determination.

An aid to become even better than those before you.

With the deafening thoughts of these expectations,

comes an endless amount of opportunities to surpass them.
