Bunch of Roses

Tue, 09/15/2020 - 18:19 -- Zanies

Those of us who can, chose not

and who can't, wish so

the gathered bunch of roses, a wish she has

the beaming light from high above the platform, she craves

ever so quietly the desk and chairs sleep

but the rumble and chatter still in her ears

as she spins and twirls in imbrace by warmth, roses, and apples

and be as she may, a peacock lovely and bright

not during the day, not a sliver of sun

only in the nightt while the desk and chairs sleep

will her mind awake as she rests

her peaceful dreams
