Bully Be Gone

They whisper insults behind your back,

They find your weakness and grip it with your fear.

The sad thing is they think they can control you,

Only they are the real ones, who are fading away,

The hypocrites, and inside they shed painful tears.

What you don't see right now and what took me time to realize

Is you have a strength inside you, trust your faith, listen, use your eyes.

Only then will you see that those nay sayers and brutal words are hiding in the open,

Behind their threats and lashing out;

And every now and then a smile is born, once you can stand and see

That the bully has NO power over me.

Now that I have my smile back, now that I’m free to be me

People are still quick to judge, I say judge yourself not me.

People say I'm crazy; I say their confused.

They say I can't do it; I say it's mine to lose.

I will say I still have my ups and my downs,

But so does any other person, But don't worry I won’t frown.

Because I found the strength in me, the love that I once lost

For me, myself, and I... the courage, the warmth, the fighting cost.

So for the girls and boys and all

Stand up for yourself, Stand your ground don't fall.

For the darkness will truly end,

When you take back your happiness once more again.
