Builder's Delight

There is another, here in the wall.
Lego houses tower high, reigning chaos over all.
Bake me some houses, cook me some stones.
Give me a trowel, paint the mortar like Van Gogh.
Kill with it, chuck it through the window with care,
Or stack them in the daycare pile, way over there.
This house over the sand one, saith the builder
As his sand mansion delight got rained off-kilter.
Weigh down a tarped woodpile
Or cover it with graffiti, NYC style.
This poem’s stacked up well, that should do the trick.
By the time you realize what it’s about,
It’ll hit you like a ton of —!

This poem is about:
Our world
