Brown Eyes

Brown eyes, smooth skin,

A smile far prettier than sin.

He strolled into my life,

He made my mind spin.

He raised my heartbeat, so fast.

Then made the impression that would always last.

I’m in love with punk rock,

He fell for hip hop.

We were locked up in the cellar,

Knowing he didn’t know better.

We both knew

That the world was mean,

And the world hurts,

But I still remember

Our lust during September.

I am his and he’s forever mine.

He washed away all of my fears.

We’ll be together for all of time.

We smile as the crowd jeers.

He and I soar above all those before.

Does he remember our kiss in September?

I am his and he’s forever mine

New dreams, so far away.

We both knew that he could never stay.

But he still felt so cold, so fast,

Wishing that our time together really could last.

But he’ll leave me on Sunday,

I might still be waiting Monday.

Stayed up debating,

If he’s worth my waiting.

But we’ll be changing, forever.

Swept up in a new world,

Gone in September.

I am his and he’s forever mine.

He washed away all of my fears.

We’ll be together for all of time.

We smile as the crowd jeers.

He and I soar above all those before.

Does he remember our kiss in September?

I am his and he’s forever mine.

Brown eyes, smooth skin,

A smile far prettier than sin.
