Broken

Yes you say

To the boy with the heart In his hands

Bruised and covered in bandages

But willing to take a chance

He gives you his all

His time, money and thoughts

He needs your heart too

Your broken, damaged, taped back together

no good heart.

Delivered in pieces you try to give it up

He treasures your heart

Kept in a glass case

But do you treasure his?

Or could it be replaced?

Politely he asks for it all

Your love. Your time, effort and thoughts.

On the floor wrapping it all up.

Closed shut and tied with a bow.

His name scribbled on the top, ready to show.

You can't.

You feel Stubborn,

But that's okay.

Some of your heart is meant to stay.
