Brittle Bones

Location

I am utterly ashamed.

This lifestyle I willingly proceed.

Slowly shrinking to nothing.

As I refuse the light.

Lovely memories dance.

To the song of the fat girl,

She doesn't stand a chance.

So I shrink,

Shedding pounds.

As the hurt scars deeper.

Sunken eyes,

Brittle bones,

Satisfaction my keeper.

"You're discusting!"

They scream.

As I refuse another bite.

Those same children.

Taunting the fat girl,

She knows this isn't right.

Yet she lays there.

She takes it.

Each reminding of the past.

She withers away.

Hunger overcome.

Peace at last...
